Mariza Ferro
Currently works as Artificial Intelligence professor at Computer Institute in the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Coordinator of the Reference Group for Ethical and Trustworthy AI and coordinator of the Consortium of Ethics for Public Policies on Artificial Intelligence for Latin America and the Caribbean (EticALIA). Ph.D. in Computational Modeling at the National Laboratory of Scientific Computing (LNCC) developing her thesis on High-Performance Scientific Computing and Operational Research (OR). M.Sc. in Computer Science from Universidade de São Paulo (2004) and B.Sc. in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (2002). Postdoctoral studies in the "High-Performance Computing for Energy (HPC4E)" EU-Brazil Horizon 2020 project working on performance and energy consumption evaluation of scientific simulations. Has experience in Computer Science, acting on the following subjects: machine learning, inductive logic programming, data mining, high-performance computing and performance evaluation. Her research interests are Green Computing, Green Artificial Intelligence and Ethical Artificial Intelligence.
